Berijam lake is a must see a place in Kodakanal. The sighting of buffalo, leopard and other tweeting crazy birds are very typical here. Apart from this, the guests will also be able to take a boat rid along this amazing lake, and it will be an amazing and relaxing experience for them. Berijam can only be visited with the authorization from the Region Natrual enviroment Official as it is not started out to the public.

Berijam has a 100 year old 2-story stone building, partially broken and blackened over the years, with a shiny yellow-colored name studying "Britisher's Transit Camp".

This is one of several transit camps designed every 15 km (9 mi) for the military to relax along the 230 km (143 mi) English "Escape Route" from Kodaikanal via Top Place and Munnar to Kochi, designed during WW 2. While most of the transit camps are now either decayed or destroyed, the one at Berijam still appears.
